Mr. Lund was an emigrant from Denmark in 1853 and settled in Pleasant Grove in 1870. In addition to his farming, he was also active in political affairs. He served as a member of the city council, a city justice, a countycornrnissioner, county assessor, and as a member of the state legislature. He lived in this house until his death in 1919, and the house remained in the Lund family until at least the 1940's. During the Lund's ownership the property was bordered by a ~ell-kept fence an~ privet hedge, and was noted for its beautiful flower gardens.
