David, a sawmill operator and sheep man from Heber, Utah, also built a Victorian.. style house on Main Street and owned other property. These are, however, some of the best preserved of the older houses located within reasonable walking distance of the downtown. Other historic houses which have been significantly altered by major changes, such as enlarged window openings, aluminum siding, and large additions, have not yet been thoroughly researched and are not included in this tour. The hislOricai facts presented here were derived from the available records--county title records, obituaries, town histories, etc.--and are as accurate as possible. What is missing in many cases, however, is first- or second-hand information from family members or others who might know information about these historic buildings and their past owners. June 1988 Site 10 15 E. Center Site 11 Star Saloon David N. Adamson purchased this property in 1901 from the Gammetts and probably had this building constructed soon after. It has always been a saloon and pool hall, except during the "dry" years of Prohibition when it served strictly as a billiards parlor. Adamson owned and operated the establishment until about 1920. 55 E.
