Note 1. Mary Ann Angell was an older sister to Truman 0. Angell, Architect, who was sustained early in Church history as Church Architect. His son, Truman 0. Angell, Jr. was called as Assistant Church Architect and assigned to the construction of the Logan Temple. Harriet Amelia Folsom was the Daughter of William Harrison Folsom, Architect, who held the position of Church Architect intermittently when Angell was ill or away. He later held the office of Assistant Church Architect, assigned to the Manti Temple construction. Joseph Don Carlos Young held the position of Church Architect and was instrumental in directing some of the work involved in the completion of the Salt Lake Temple. Note 2. Joseph Don Carlos Young worked with his son Don Carlos Young in execution of a substantial amount of work under the firm name of Young and Sons, Architects. Many of the other trained men of the family also worked in the firm on occasion: Kirtland Do•..,1don Young, Gt'Or gt' Cannon Young, Edward F'artridge (:ieorgi us Young Cannon, and Lort'nzo Snot,..• (Bing) Young. Note 3. Don Carlos Young t'ntered a partnership callt'd Young and Hansen, Architects. Many of membt'r s of the family worked with this firm: Young, Georgius Young Cannon, Lorenzo Snow George Cannon Young. Young, with Ramm Hansen the other trained Joseph Don Carlos (Bing) Young and Note 4. Willard Young was called to function a s Superintendent of F'ublic Works, including an Architectural Department. Soon after its organization, Joseph Don Carlos Young was invited to direct the Architectural Department and he was aided in the office by other trained family members: Don Carlos Young, George Cannon Young, Georgious Young Cannon and Lorenzo Snow (Bing) Young. Note 5. The Church Building Committee was started in the early 1950s and Joseph Hagman Young was later invited to join the staff where he was employed for many years. Note 6. Tht' Church Building committet' not only dt'Vt'loped complt'ted drawings for meetinghouses, and other Church buildings, in their offices, they also directed the issuanct' of contracts for professional services from architects in the community. In this service, plans were prepart'd by members of the family: Joseph Hagman Young, George Cannon Young with his son Richard W. Young, Georgius Young Cannon, Lorenzo Snow (Bing) Young and Martin Ray Young, Jr. Note 7. Allen B. Erekson became lict'nsed in 1971, was hired as Art'a 3 Architect in 1977.
