Jinks, wc.s born 6 March 1862 in Salt Lake City and died 27 May 1951 in Los Angeles, California. He married Ann Elizabeth Bennett, born 18 July 1873 in Evanston, '.:yarning, on 24 December 1895. She died 28 October 1947 in Hollywood, California. They had two children, John Bennett Bruce (1898-1918) and Dora Elizabeth Druce (b. 1904). 1 E.W. Druce built more than fifty houses in Salt Lake City bet,.reen 1391 and 1910, according to city building permit records. The majority were in the Avenues. Since many permits did not list either architect or builder, it is possible that the total was considerably more. In most instances, Druce appears to have acted as his own architect, however he also worked with architects W. M. Lang, W. E. Fisher, Asper, Noal and Company and Andrew Smith. He was listed as the architect on ho~es built by T. Ograin and O. E. Hartwell on P and J Streets, respectively. Over twenty of the Druce homes were still in existence in 1982, most still being used as dwellings and in fairly good condition. The majority of the structures Druce built were brick after 1891. Known buildings by Druce are as follows: Date issued Built forlat address DescriT)tion 38 10-23-91 Mrs. E. Graham 457 East 2nd South 1 story fra::e, 4 rms. 94 10-21-91 Mrs. E.
