So even something as big as the Grand Canyon is not going to be visible if you don't have fat suppression. So, with MRI on T1 this fog represents the fat. You don't suppress the fat; white on white, equals white stuff. You need the fat suppress that fat otherwise you're going to miss the Grand Canyon.
