Briefly describe the principal building, additions or alterations and their dates, and associated outbuildings and structures. Use continuation sheets as necessary. This 1944 Minimal Traditional style house is constructed of beveled concrete block on a concrete foundation. The hipped roof is covered with asphalt shingles and has a brick chimney extending at the very center of the roof. An additional chimney has been constructed of regular concrete block on the east side of the house. All of the windows in the house are double-hung wood sash although the number ~flights varies from window to window. The difference in the type and style of the windows throughout the house, suggests that perhaps they were salvaged from other buildings at the time this home was constructed. The basement has three-paned hopper windows, which are only in the front third of the house. The tax card indicates a 113 basement. The doors in the house are covered with aluminum screen doors. In addition to the chimney added on the east side of the house, there is a small addition 6' deep and 21' across) on the rear of the house and a fiber-glass awning between the addition and the east side of the rear ofthe house. The primary fa~ade faces north with an entry door slightly west of center. There is a concrete stoop leading up to the door and the small gabled roof over the doorway is arched underneath. There is a grouped window to the east of the entry door with three windows all of which are four-over-one wood sash. The single window to the west of the entry door is fourover-one as well. There are basement windows on either side of the front stoop. The west fa~ade has two windows in the original portion of the house. The window closest to the front of the house is horizontal two-over-two wood sash. The window near the middle of the fa~ade is very small but is four-over-one like those on the front of the house. The window at the southwest comer of the house is in the addition and is an aluminum slider. The east fa~ade has a ground-level door near the southeast comer of the house. Two-thirds of the way toward the front of the house, the wall jogs five feet to the west, forming a comer. There is a comer window at this point with one-overone double-hung wood sash windows. One faces east, the other north. The remainder of the fa~ade has the added concrete block chimney centered on a ten foot wall. The rear of the house was not visible at the time of my visit. The only outbuilding is a garage constructed of drop siding. It is to the southwest of the house. 5 HISTORY Architect!Builder: unknown Date of Construction: 1944 Historic Themes: Mark themes related to this property with "S" or "c" (S = significant, C = contributing). . In 1930 Edwin and Flora and their five children, including nine-year-old Morlin, were living at 33 West 200 North. Shortly after his marriage to Myrth Graham, Morlin purchased a portion of his parents' property to build a home. Morlin J. Conder was born in American Fork in 1921 and Myrth Graham was born in Wallsburg, Utah in 1925 to James and Alice Graham. Morlin and Myrth raised two sons, Michael and Gerald, in this home and Myrtl}. died in 1977 at the age of 52. Shortly after his wife's death, Morlin sold the home to his son Gerald M. Conder. The house is currently listed with AA Rocky Mountain Bail Bonds as the owner- this is a business owned by Gerald M.
