February 17, p. 4 Section 2, obituary M-nson was born in Logan on February 2, 1862 to C.H. and Anna MJnson. He worked in the contracting business with his father as a young man and when he was 16 he helped build the Logan Temple. He was an L.D.S. missionary from 1883 to 1885 in Norway. He married Laura Larson in 1886. She died in 1931. MJnson was an architect and "designed many buildings in the interrnountain countrys." For eight years he was SUJDervisory architect for Utah State schools. He was a member of the territorial legislature. The guide is being written by Peter Goss, professor of architectural history at the University of Utah, Marilyn M. Smolka, and myself, and will be published in 1980 by Peregrine Smith Inc. For the purposes of this guidebook, as well as for establishing a more complete file on Utah architects at the State Historical Society, we would be very interested in receiving a list of the buildings and projects that you have worked on, with your present firm and in earlier partnerships. While we have very good professional biographies on a few architects, for most firms we lack even a list of completed projects. We would also appreciate your suggestions for buildings in Utah by other architects that you think should be included in the Guide to Utah Architecture. We look forward to hearing from you.
