SALT U\KE f RIBUNE 1940 January 24, p. 7--nothing there. 49 years old of 2255 Madison Avenue, Ogden, Utah. He assisted Leslie S. Hodgson in designing the million dollar Ogden High School, the $911,500 Ogden City and i~eber County Building, the Ben Lomond Hotel, Ogden Stock Show Coliselilil, the Stock Exchange Building, the National Guard Annory at Ogden, and scores of other public buildings and school structures in the western states. Born at Scotsbluff, Nebraska, January 15, 1891, son of Andrew J. and Lucy B. Fink McClenahan. Attended elementary school in Gering, Nebraska, and in 1902 moved to Grand Island, Nebraska, with his family. In 1906 the family moved to Salt Lake where he was graduated from the old Salt Lake High School in 1908. He was employed by Leslie Hodgson in 1912. After his discharge from the Anny in 1919 he became a member of the finn of Hodgson and McClenahan. Served in the Anny from 1918 to 1919 and was stationed at Camp Fremont and Camp Mills. Member of Ogden Rotary Club, B.P.O. Elks, American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. He married Nonna R. Emery on December 20, 1917, in Salt Lake. She died on December 5, 1926. On January 30, 1939, he married Elsie Anderson at Farmington, Utah. He had three sons and daughters, Donald L., Richard :M., John E., Lois, Dorothy, and Lucille McClenahan, of Ogden. |
