Smoke can be seen billowing from the gilsonite mine in Bonanza. The fire and the explosion trapped eight miners causing their deaths. Debri flew in all directions causing damage to buildings in Bonanza. The billowing smoke could be seen as far away as Vernal fifty miles away. |
