Description The incidence of giant cell arteritis (GCA) is well-documented in white populations, but its relevance among other racial and ethnic groups is less well-established. The purpose of this study was to examine the incidence of biopsyproven GCA (BP-GCA) in a hospital-based population with a significant proportion of African American (black) patients.
