Eve Ashton

Eve Ashton was a prominent and civic leader of the area and of the country. She was the State and then the National president of the American Legion. She was a successful business woman and with her husband founded the Ashton Brothers store in Vernal, and became president of the store. She was born to Henry and Minerva Van Wagon Stewart on May 7, 1899. She married Rae Ashton in 1920. She died in November 1962.
