Description The patient population on Inpatient Medical Rehab (IMR) have unique factors that put them at higher risk than the average hospital population to developing a pressure injury (PI). Evidence shows that several factors contribute to the development of PI's. Some of these include: nutritional status, mechanical assistive device (Curry, Kutash, Chambers, Evans, Holt, Purcell, 2012,) sheer, immobility, age, gender (Lahmann, Knottner, Dassen, Tannen, 2011).
