Decreasing Hospital Acquired Pressure Injuries Through Photo Documentation

The patient population on Inpatient Medical Rehab (IMR) have unique factors that put them at higher risk than the average hospital population to developing a pressure injury (PI). Evidence shows that several factors contribute to the development of PI's. Some of these include: nutritional status, mechanical assistive device (Curry, Kutash, Chambers, Evans, Holt, Purcell, 2012,) sheer, immobility, age, gender (Lahmann, Knottner, Dassen, Tannen, 2011).
