Title A survey of the attitudes of nursing personnel in a metropolitan general hospital toward the geriatric patient
Date 1965
Year graduated 1965
Description The increasing number of older patients in general hospitals, and what appears to be a low level of interest in such patients, were factors which inspired the pilot study presented in this thesis. In 1964, nearly eighteen million citizens of the United States were over sixty-five years of age. This figure represented nine and three tenths per cent of the population and is expected to reach twelve per cent by 1975.
