Sophomore Angela Kaplar posted a school-record performance in the 100m hurdles at the BYU Twilight. In the 100m hurdles, Kaplar clocked a time of 13.61, which beat her previous school-record by over .02 seconds. Kaplar's performance earned her second-place in the event, and qualified her for the first-round of the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Brianna LeRoy caught the spotlight in the long jump with a new personal-record of 19-8.25. LeRoy's mark beat her previous personal-best by over one foot and earned her first-place in the event. Junior Langley Iverson finished third overall in the high jump with a mark of 5-7.25. In the pole vault, sophomore Theresa Waybright cleared the 12 foot barrier for the first time this season, posting a mark of 12-1.75 for sixth place. The Utes dominated the shot put as they claimed four of the top-five spots. Nikkie Rudder had a throw of 46-10.25, which earned her second place. Freshman Destanae Howerton-Davis posted a personal-best throw of 45-2.50 placing her third in the event. Alanna Nulph competed unattached and had a throw of 43-8.50 (fourth place). Candus Aiello finished fifth overall with a mark of 43-7.50. |
