Final Score The Utes set two new school-records and multiple personal -records throughout the weekend. In the final event of the evening, Utah's 4x400 relay capped off a great meet with a first-place finish. The Utes were led by freshmen AuraLea Fain and Rebekah Winterton in the 5000m event. Winterton, a native from Salt Lake City, clocked a time of 17:33.01, which earned her fourth in the heat and 68th overall. Winterton's time ranks eighth all-time in school history. AuraLea Fain finished 11th in her heat and 76th overall with a time of 17:49.91. Fain's performance ranks 11th in school history. The 4x400m relay team capped off the night with a first-place finish. Lauryn McKay, Alyssa Johnson, Lucy Yates, and Ashley Mosley finished with a time of 3:46.46, which is a new season-best by more than eight seconds. Yates posted a new personal-best split time of 55.60 and put Mosley in first-place going into the final leg. The group edged the University of Washington by .37 seconds.In the distance events, the Utes were led by sophomore Amanda Mergaert in the mile. Mergaert clocked a time of 4:45.11 earning her second in her heat and 12th-place overall. Mergaert's performance beat her previous school-record by more than one second. Nikki Dotter set a new personal-best and was second for the Utes (68th overall) with a time of 5:06.17. In the 3,000m Rebekah Winterton finished fifth with a time of 10:07.90. Freshman AuraLea Fain posted a 3,000m time of 10:19.26 earning her 12th overall. Throughout the meet, Winterton and Fain set a total of four personal-records combined. In only her second race of the season, senior Alyssa Abbott had an impressive performance clocking a new personal-best time of 9:30.12 in the 3,000m (25th place). Angela Kaplar finished fifth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.56. Kaplar's time broke the previous school-record of 8.58, which she set earlier this season. Kaplar also competed in the 200m dash where she clocked a time 26.44 earning her 45th overall. Utah's Langley Iverson finished second place in the high jump with a mark of 5-10.00. Brianna LeRoy cleared the height of 5-6.00, which tied her for seventh-place. LeRoy also competed in the long jump, where she earned ninth-place with a jump of 18-1.00. In the pole vault Theresa Waybright and Klaudia Rokossa both cleared a mark of 12-4.00 and tied for first in their heat and 14th place overall. The jumps mark season-highs for both pole vaulters. The weight throw was led by Anneli Stahl's fourth-place finish with a throw of 60-9.25. Stahl's throw of 60-9.25 set a new personal-record. Cynthia Sanchez claimed the 15th spot overall with a mark of 54-8.25. With a throw of 48-6.26, Destanae Howerton-Davis finished 32nd, respectively for the Utes. Nikkie Rudder set a new personal-best mark of 46-8.00, which earned her first place for the Utes and seventh overall in the shot put. Junior transfer Alanna Nulph claimed the ninth overall spot with a season-best throw of 45-5.00. Finishing eleventh place was Candus Aiello with a toss of 43-11.75.; ; In the 400m event, the Utes had four athletes finish in the top 30 spots. Johnson finished first for the Utes and tenth overall with a time of 56.81. McKay (58.16) and Mosley (58.20) earned 23rd and 24th overall. Freshman Rosalie Griffin finished 26th place with a time of 58.38.
