Looking south at the upstream face of Stanaker Dam. Ashley Valley and the city of Vernal, Utah are beyond the dam. THis area will be served suppementary water by storage in Stanaker (Steinaker) Reservoir, part of which shows in the foreground. Stanaker (Steinaker) Dam is a rolled, zoned, earth fill embankment having a crest length of 1900 feet and a height of 140 feet. It was constructed by Morrison-Knudsen Company Inc. under specifications DC-5160. |
