Final Score Sarah Grimm won the hammer throw with a mark of 192-6.25. Anneli Stahl took fifth at a distance of 175-7.5, while Kastin Frostl finished 11th at 145-3.75. Grimm was also the Utes' top finisher in the discus, putting together a fifth-place performance of 134-8. Nikkie Rudder took seventh place with a distance of 130-8, while Amanda Pais threw 110-9 for 16th place, Stahl was 21st at 99-10, and Frostl followed in 22nd at 96-6. Candus Aiello performed as an unattached competitor and was sixth with a mark of 131-5. Rudder crushed her previous personal best and won the shot put with a 47-7.75. Rudder's previous PR was 45-9.25. Again competing unattached, Aiello finished 10th with a personal-best mark of 41-6.75. Amanda Pais ended up 17th in the event with a mark of 34-7.25. Brianna LeRoy finished as the runner-up in the long jump, registering a distance of 18-6.75, a mark that was just 0.75 inches away from tying her personal best. LeRoy also took third in the high jump with a personal-best height of 5-5.25. Breanna Freestone was Utah's top finisher in the javelin, turning in a distance of 118-1.75 for seventh place. Freshman Shawna Michaelis finished 13th with a personal-best effort of 97-10. Pais finished 16th with a mark of 87-11 and Frostl had a personal-best effort of 78-10 for 17th. On the track, Angela Kaplar won the 100-meter hurdle race with a time of 14.59 against a 2.8 meter-per-hour wind. LeRoy was the next Ute to finish and took ninth place at a time of 15.43 against a 3.8 meter-per-hour wind. Delaney Fox finished 17th at 17.22 against a 2.9 meter-per-hour wind. Chelsey Kaplar took the 400-meter hurdle title with a time of 1:01.87. Stephanie Muelleck ran a time of 1:05.47 for sixth place. The 4x100-meter relay of Natalie Young, Whitney Wellington, Lauryn McKay and Fox took runner-up honors for the Utes, turning in a time of 47.15. Sydney Osmun finished seventh in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:05.71. Nikki Dotter took sixth place in the 800-meter race at a time of 2:18.64. Young will wrapped up the action on the track in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 25.73 against a -3.3 meter-per-hour wind for second place.
