Thought control in Japan from 1925 to 1945

We are inundated everyday with attempts to control our thoughts. Companies tell us to buy their products. Missionaries ask us to join their churches. Politicians remind us to vote for their parties. Volunteers petition us to donate to their cause. Parents communicate to their children that they love them. Teachers convince their students; to study hard. Friends try to deepen relationships. We all control, to varying degrees, the thoughts of others. We especially influence what others think about us. Since thought is the birthplace of action; it follows that actions can be controlled if thoughts can be controlled. This has broad implications. It means that a Hitler can motivate a whole nation to war by influencing the thoughts of its people. It means that a Jesus Christ can motivate billions of people to a life of peace. Thought control has far-reaching effects.
