Final Score The Utes posted two more NCAA West Regional qualifying marks in the 4x400-meter relay and the 400-meter hurdles in their only home meet of the season. Utah's 4x400-meter relay of Chelsea Shapard, Haley McAllister-Birkeland, Ashley Patterson and Whitney Wellington turned in a time of 3:41.16 to break the NCAA's regional-qualifying time in the event. Chelsey Kaplar took third place with a season-best 1:00.01 effort that qualified her for the NCAA West Regional in the 400-meter hurdles. Shapard also improved on her existing NCAA Regional qualifying performance with a time of 58.18 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles to take second place in the overall results. Senior Chelsea DiGrazia took the lead after the first lap in heat two of the 1,500-meter run, creating a large gap en route to the win with a time of 4:37.86. Janett Ern finished in second-place overall in the event with a time of 4:42.98. The Utes took the top two spots in the hammer throw with Sarah Grimm and Josefin Berg finishing first and second place, respectively. Grimm turned in an effort of 194'11", while Berg secured second place with a mark of 192'5.50". Lucy Yates now ranks second in the school's all-time 800-meter list by setting a new personal record to register a first-place finish at a time of 2:12.41. Lauren Endersen won the 3,000-meter race at 10:06.65, followed by Kellie Anderson's second-place time of 10:26.44. In the 400-meter dash, Ashley Patterson was able to take the lead at the south turn of the race, and took off to solidify the win, finishing in 55.71 seconds. Langley Iverson took first place in the high jump with an effort of 5'5", while Mandi Weatherspoon registered a fourth-place height at 5'3".
