Abstract |
Perioperative ischemic optic neuropathy (ION) is rare but often causes profound visual loss. Such patients frequently present to the neuro-ophthalmologist, sometimes with medicolegal issues related to causation. Two experts debate whether anemia and hypotension are causally related to perioperative ION. |
