Led by Nikki Dotter's 13th-place finish, the University of Utah cross country team finished fifth overall Saturday at the three-mile Montana State Bobcat Invitational. Utah finished fifth overall with 131 points, just above Montana State who finished with 154 points. The overall winner of the meet was the University of Montana. In only her second cross country race, Dotter was the first Ute to finish, and placed 13th overall after clocking a 17:52. Closely behind Dotter was sophomore Jenny McCune, who finished 15th and improved on her time from last year's meet by 16 seconds, with a time of 18:00.0. Following McCune with a time of 18:04 was Winterton, who took 18th place. Laws crossed the line for 23rd with a time of 18:12, which gave Utah four top-25 finishers at the meet. |
