Led by a first-place finish by Amanda Mergaert, the University of Utah cross country team earned first place overall, Saturday at the Nevada-Reno Dual meet (5k). This meet was in the format of a triangular "chase race" which means that runners started at different intervals. The designated handicap times are then subtracted from the their overall race time. Utah completed the meet with 19 points for first place, followed by the University of Nevada, which finished second with 47 points and Sacramento State finished third with 58 points. |
