Additional Information The expedition started in Green River, Utah, on June 20, 1938 and ended at Lake Mead, Arizona on August 1, 1938. The party had a layover at Lees Ferry, where two members left and two others (Reed and Bell) joined. They left Lees Ferry on July 13, with Kerley and McFarland accompanying them for the first stretch of river downstream. The passengers left them the next day after the descent of Badger Creek Rapids. This photo shows an open beach and no cliff walls, so it's Lees Ferry on July 13.
