Title The public philosophy of Walter Lippmann
Date 1973-04-01
Year graduated 1973
Description Walter Lippmann has never been quite satisfied as just a journalist. He is always probing beneath the surface of daily events, taking time to search philosophically into their meaning and root causes. To supplement his thousands of editorials and articles, he has written almost two dozen books from A Preface to Politics in 1913 to Western Unity and the Common Market in 1962. Against the background of an extraordinary knowledge of the affairs of this century Lippmann has asked and answered some of the most difficult questions about man and government. Always his search has been for what he called the "Good Life" in the "Good Society."
