Subject Ocular Motility; Pediatric Neuro-Ophthalmology
Description In subjects with alternating strabismus, either eye is used to saccade to visual targets. The brain must calculate the correct vector for the saccade, which will depend on which eye is chosen to make it. To learn how accurate eye movements are made in strabismus, topographic maps were examined in the superior colliculus, a major midbrain center for saccade generation.
