Title Marijuana politics in Utah
Date 1975-03

Description This project deals with the liberalization of marijuana laws in Utah. What follows is not a comprehensive assessment of all forces promoting and preventing liberalized marijuana laws. Rather, this paper will present two surveys and an analysis of pro-marijuana forces in Utah. From the aforementioned sources I will finally attempt to draw conclusions concerning four questions: (1) How strong is the opposition in Utah to liberalized marijuana laws? (2) Where are the apparent centers of opposition (3) How strong are forces in Utah favoring liberalized marijuana laws? (4) What is the likelihood, as of December, 1974, that Utah will liberalize its marijuana laws?
