Decentralization: Its impact on Italian local government

The science of modern public administration provides a ray of hope, however, for if that science can be applied to an organization which is in a state of becoming --as is the administrative organization of Italy--the end result may indeed be more sound, responsive administration. The focus on local government is this paper is admittedly narrow, but it serves primarily as an analysis of an area which has received a substantial amount of attention in recent years and upon which many hopes for the future are centered.
