Description The pathophysiology behind venous sinus stenosis(VSS) in idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is unclear. It has been argued that VSS is an independent cause of IIH rather than a consequence and recent data suggest clinical efficacy and safety of venous sinus stenting. In this study we aimed to explore the possible association between unilateral versus bilateral VSS and opening pressure on initial lumbar puncture in IIH.
