Title Hamlet: a study in critical thought
Date 1982-04
Year graduated 1982
Description This paper will explore the same concept with a different emphasis. The emphasis will be placed on the change in perspective that has evolved in critics of Hamlet over the years. There have been distinct periods in the criticism of Shakespeare, and particularly of Hamlet, that will be identified and discussed. The major contributors to each period will be examined according to the major assumptions their criticism; is based on and according to their individual critiques of the play. This method should provide the reader with a general knowledge of the change and development that critical thought has gone through over the years.
