Owners of the Gateway Cafe, a newly constucted ($35,000) cafe on east Highway 40 in Vernal (733 East Main) estimate the opening will be April 5. Partners in the company are Mr. and Mrs Lawrence Tapp and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thatcher. Bud and Lela McCarrell of Vernal were employeed as the cooks. The building has a dining room which is 25 ft. by 35 ft. seating for 75 people. There is also a banquet room to accommodate 150 people. Their food specialties were steaks, fried chicken and seafood. |
