Description Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular mortality; however the link with cerebral small-vessel disease remains to be elucidated. The retina offers an in-vivo assessment of microvascular end-organ damage to the cerebral circulation in OSA. Our study examined the relationship between OSA severity and retinal vascular caliber.
