Description Neuromyelitis optica (NMO) is a neurological inflammatory disease leading to limb paralysis and blindness. It is a rare disease with an unequal world distribution and a prevalence that varies geographically. We report the observation of a patient admitted to the neurology department of Fann national teaching hospital in Dakar, Senegal.
