Description |
Ute Indians display vegetables in a display at UBIC. Approximately 6,000 people, including 1,000 of the Ute Tribe, attended the very first Uintah Basin Industrial Convention in Fort Duchese. The three day event accomidated 3,000 campsites. People from all over the Uinta Basin attended. There were speakers from several colleges in Utah who gave ideas and help on various farming and agriculture problems facing the Uinta Basin farmer. There was entertainment, games and sports along with craft and local displays. The first UBIC was a great success and enjoyed by many. The three day event still continues to this time and is now held in Roosevelt. |
