Michael Moroni Cook was March 25, 1884 in Salt Lake City, the son of William and Lydia Hartle Cook. When he was nine his family his fmaily came to the Uinta Basin, specifically Vernal, Utah. Because of his father being a carpenter/builder, he and brothers learned that trade and the soon established a lumber mill in the west part of Vernal. He helped building the Tabernacle. He married Lydia Ellen Hardy on November 2, 1905 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were parents of two sons; Eldon and Wallace, and three daughters, LaMarr, Linnie and Roberta. He passed away on March 25, 1961 and is buried in the Vernal Memorial Park. |
