Westminster College chief academic officers: Over the years, the title of the chief academic officer of Westminster College has changed. From 1901-1976, 16 men served as the Dean (of the College) charged with overseeing faculty affairs as part of their duties. Beginning in 1981, the title changed to "Academic Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty", and in 2003 to "Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs".

Sheldon Jackson College (Salt Lake City, Utah) was in existence from 1895-1901. Robert Gibson McNiece was the Dean from 1897 through the 1901 transition to Westminster College, thus serving as the first dean of Westminster College from 1901-1913. Below is a partial list of the various men who have served as the chief academic officer:

These records document the activities of the Council of Deans including curriculum development, faculty issues, and student enrollment. The correspondence relate to various issues, the most notable being the abolishment of faculty tenure in 1984.
