Further Information This photograph is in excellent condition. There is a label on the front of the photo in the lower right corner that reads "East Side Entrances & North Side[,] Payne Gymnasium."On the back of the photo there is a red stamp that says "ANSIL PHOTOGRAPHY [,] 231 Edison Street [,] Salt Lake City, Utah 84111".With financial support from Frank Russell Payne, president of the board of trustees at Westminster College and manager of the local J.C. Penny Company, the college broke ground on the $55,000 gymnasium on July 17, 1928 Dedicated on January 11, 1929, it was named the Frank Russell Payne Gymnasium in honor of its primary donor. The new facility was used not only by a grateful Westminster student body, but also by a variety of teams and clubs from the Sugar House Area.For information on Frank R.
