Show This photograph shows a group of forty-two members of the Young Women's Christian Association of the 1919-1920 academic year. The women are poised in front of what appears to be Ferry Hall. The women are wearing a mixture of light and dark colored dresses, skirts, sweaters, and blouses. The hairstyles vary in length and are straight, wavy, or have curls. All the women in the front are wearing dark laced shoes. The foreground is illuminated by the sunlight. |
| Further Information |
The photograph is in mediocre condition. It has three tares on the left hand edge in the middle from being forced off a hard backing to which it was glued to for many years. Written on the bottom right hand corner in blue ink is, "YWCA 1919-20." The back is covered with glue stains and has the following written in pencil: 4X2½ 133 [?], Job 50551 '4X3 ¼'[scribbled out]." There is a stamp that reads, "Arrow Press." The photograph has been removed from its original cardboard backing where it was labeled, "YWCA 1919," on top right hand corner above the photograph and on the back bottom left hand corner. This photograph appears in the 1920 Etosian and is identified as the, "Y.W.C.A." The drawback is the Etosian doesn't list the names of the individuals in the photograph only the names of the leaders at the bottom of the photograph.
