Description Typescript (10 pages), a biography of Philip De La Mare, a native of the Isle of Jersey and a convert to the LDS Church who emigrated to Utah in 1852, bringing equipment for the start of the sugar beet industry there. Originally published in Utah Genealogical and Historical Magazine, January 1930, by Nicholas G. Morgan, who received the details from his grandfather, Philip De La Mare, in 1908. Includes text of his comments in 1893 on why the first attempts at establishing the industry failed
