| Description | Virtual visual field devices (VVFD) appear to yield results that are reliable and reproducible. We often admit patients to the intensive care unit (ICU) for lumbar drains for vision-threatening papilledema and a reliable visual field exam is essential for guiding management. Testing can be problematic, as it requires transferring a patient from the ICU to the ophthalmology clinic. Since early 2020, we have used a VVFD in an inpatient and on-call setting. The aim of this study is to share our experience and to determine if the VVFD can be used to improve clinical outcomes. |
