The East Canyon area comprises approximately 140 square miles and is located nearly twenty miles northeast of Salt Lake City, Utah. Allor parts of Townships 1-3N, Ranges 2-4E, Salt Lake Meridian, are included in the report (see geologic map in pocket}. The southern boundary of the area overlaps one studied by Crittenden, et al., (1952) of the U. S. Geological Survey. |
