In 2008, Larry Frohman published about the 'Human Resource Crisis' in Neuro-ophthalmology in the Journal of Neuro-ophthalmology. In this article, Dr. Frohman highlights many of the issues that we feel limit the number of trainees choosing Neuro-ophthalmology as well as the difficulties that neuro- ophthalmologists face in their departments. Since that time, the North American Neuro- Ophthalmology Society has been engaged in trying to address this crisis - which adversely affects our patients, our trainees, our colleagues, and ultimately Neuro-ophthalmologists. |
