| Description | Neuromyelitis optica (NMO) is a demyelinating disorder that can cause bilateral optic neuritis and transverse myelitis in the setting of antibodies to aquaporin-4. Though some reports of retinal autoantibodies and abnormalities in electroretinogram (ERG) have been reported in multiple sclerosis, these findings have yet to be described in neuromyelitis optica. We report a case of NMO with ERG abnormalities. |
