Executive producer: Robert Thirkell.. Part One of the film covers the development of a jet-powered vehicle, "Thrust SSC." Test runs were at a dry lake in Jordan in the spring of 1997. Fighter pilot Andy Green drove the vehicle. Also recaps Craig Breedlove's attempt in 1997. Part two begins at 39:00. The documentary moves to the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, where several test runs are made in the summer of 1997. At the same time, Craig Breedlove was attempting his own supersonic run, which failed. Andy Green's run reached a new record over 714 MPH. Then on October 15, 1997, the vehicle broke the sound barrier twice.
