A 10 year old boy was found to have a reduced visual acuity on the right eye during a routine ophthalmic examination. Visual acuities were 4/200 OD and 20/20 OS with an afferent pupillary defect (APD) OD. Indirect ophthalmoscopy showed bilateral hyperemic and swollen optic discs with teleangectasic peripapillary vessels. |
