Description A 23-year-old female noted sudden loss of vision in the left temporal periphery accompanied by diffuse headache. This had occurred 40 days prior to presentation, and was immediately subsequent to a normal delivery which was complicated by moderate peripartum hypertension; concomitant headache and pedal edema were present but seizures, alterations of consciousness, weakness or numbness were denied.
