With six of the Utah's top runners resting for the week,freshman Nikki Rietz led the way for the team with her 11th-place finish. Rietz had a slow start and was around the 40th position at the beginning of the race. As the race continued, Reitz fought her way back toward the front and finished with a time of 18:53. Finishing second for the Utes and 22nd overall was freshman Macee Nielson with a time of 19:22.2. |
