The cause of Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) remains unknown and no consensus exists on how patients should be managed. Acetazolamide is commonly used, but has never been examined in a randomised controlled trial. Reduction in body weight has been reported to improve the course of IIH in overweight individuals. |
