In the 800-meter run, Yates won outright in her first collegiate race with a time of 2:15.67 with Shapard, a senior, coming in close second with a time of 2:15.85. Utah's long jumpers took the top two spots in the long jump as well. Haley McAllister-Birkeland had a jump of 17'10" to earn a first-place finish. Brianna LeRoy also had a good performance on Saturday, coming in second with a 17'6.50" jump. In the 3,000-meter run, Endersen dominated the competition with a time of 10:25.42. Chelsey Kaplar competed in the 60-meter hurdles on Saturday for a fourth-place finish (9.33). Whitney Wellington finished third in the 60-meter hurdles on Saturday with a time of 7.88. Langley Iverson had a great effort in the high jump event to earn second place (5'6"). Berg was back in action in the throwing events on Saturday for a second-place finish in the weight throw (53'10.5") and a 10th-place finish in the shot put (36'7.5"). Sarah Grimm finished third in the weight throw with a toss of 53'5" and a sixth-place finish in the shot put (38'7.5"). Chasity Toilolo finished third overall in the shot put with a toss of 42'2.25". |
