Description Three hundred twenty-five patients with pseudotumor cerebri were followed for 3 to 20 years. For preservation of vision, 60 (18%) patients underwent unilateral or bilateral optic nerve sheath decompressions (ONSD). Lumbo-peritoneal shunting (LPS) was required in 40 patients who then needed hundreds of revisions and replacements over the following years.
